The last tranche of 20.4 thousand rsETH was sent to the LayerZero smart contract, responsible for locking, issuing, burning, and releasing rsETH during cross-network transfers. This concluded the operational part of the rsETH recovery plan. In April, North Korean hackers from Lazarus hacked rsETH and used it as collateral for wETH on Aave, amounting to $196 million. The incident led to a drop in the protocol's TVL from $26.4 billion to $13.9 billion and a decrease in trust in DeFi. Meanwhile, Aave has not been able to recover its previous level—its TVL continues to fluctuate between $13.9 billion and $15.1 billion.
